South East Orthodontics
Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Are you the dental assistant who brings both expertise and heart to your work?
We're not just looking for someone who can do the job. We're looking for someone who loves what they do, who finds real fulfilment in being part of something meaningful, and who genuinely cares about making a difference in patients' lives every single day.
About South East Orthodontics
We're a close-knit team of 4 Orthodontists and 4 Oral Health Therapists and many support staff working from our beautiful, state-of-the-art premises in Berwick. But what really matters isn't our facilities - it's our people and our values.
We believe in doing exceptional work while genuinely enjoying what we do. We support each other, we grow together, and we take pride in creating an environment where patients feel cared for and team members feel valued. This isn't just a workplace - it's a place where people want to be.
Who we're hoping to find
You're experienced enough to hit the ground running, but humble enough to keep learning. You understand that great dentistry is a team sport, and you know how to support your colleagues while also bringing your own ideas and initiative to the table.
You're naturally detail-oriented - not because someone's watching, but because you care about getting things right. You're calm under pressure, organised in the chaos, and you can genuinely connect with patients of all ages and personalities.
Most importantly, you're someone who finds real meaning in this work. You understand that what we do changes lives, and that motivates you every single day.
What you'll be doing
Your role includes all the essentials: chairside assisting for our orthodontists and therapists, sterilisation, clinic preparation, clinical note writing, patient education, and helping maintain our high standards of infection control. But beyond the tasks, you'll be contributing your experience, your ideas, and your energy to a team that genuinely values what you bring.
We're committed to your growth, with ongoing training and support, and opportunities to expand your role if that interests you.
What makes this role special
A thoughtful, supportive team who genuinely look out for each other
No weekend work - just Monday to Friday
Real opportunities for professional development and further study
A workplace culture that includes social activities and team building
The chance to bring your full self to work, not just your skills
What we need from you
Solid experience in orthodontics or dental assisting (we value what you've learned and what you can teach us)
A genuine passion for the dental industry and patient care
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
A warm, positive attitude that lifts the people around you
The maturity to handle whatever the day brings with grace
If this sounds like you...
We'd genuinely love to hear from you. Tell us about yourself, what you're looking for in your next role, and why you think we might be the right fit for each other.
