Lead Dental Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator

Lead Dental Receptionist

Be the Calm, Confident Heart of a Supportive Dental Team

If you’re an experienced Dental Receptionist looking for a practice where your contribution is genuinely valued, this role offers the stability, respect, and professional growth you’ve been searching for.  This is an opportunity to step into a lead reception position within a warm, supportive team that appreciates maturity, emotional intelligence, and a steady, welcoming presence.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow, be mentored, and eventually raise others up — becoming a confident leader who supports both patients and colleagues with clarity and care.

About the Role
As the lead receptionist, you will play a central role in the smooth daily operation of a busy preventive dental practice. Your work will directly support both patients and clinicians, ensuring the front office runs with confidence, consistency, and genuine warmth.

Your Key Contributions
  • Leading the front office team with a calm, organised, and welcoming approach
  • Managing the appointment book with precision, including payments, cancellations, and emergencies
  • Overseeing essential administrative tasks such as monthly reporting, correspondence, and supply management
  • Ensuring accuracy in treatment plans, bookings, and financial processes
  • Daily use and oversight of EXACT practice management software
This is a role for someone who enjoys being the reliable anchor of the practice — the person who keeps everything running smoothly while creating a positive experience for every patient.

Who They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a mature, grounded professional who brings warmth, competence, and emotional intelligence to their work.  Someone who:
  • Maintains a steady, positive presence even on busy days
  • Understands the business side of dentistry and the importance of a full, well ‑ managed schedule
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with patients and colleagues
  • Has a proactive, growth ‑ oriented mindset
  • Brings genuine empathy and professionalism to every interaction
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative team
  • Wants to grow into a stronger leader — with mentoring, coaching, and the opportunity to raise others up
This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing things well and appreciates a workplace that values kindness, communication, and consistency.

Working Life & Benefits
You’ll be joining a practice that invests deeply in its people and believes in creating a healthy, supportive workplace.
You can expect:
  • Significant growth opportunities, including mentoring, leadership development, and coaching
  • Ongoing training through Prime Practice and other professional development programs
  • A strong, connected team culture with daily huddles and regular meetings
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and external coaching
  • Full ‑ time hours, Monday–Friday, with 8:00/8:30 am starts and 5:30 pm finishes
  • A professional uniform is provided
  • Team lunches, social events, and a genuinely positive environment
  • Remuneration of $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualities
  • Flexibility for the right candidate, including potential salary sacrifice or additional leave
This is a workplace where the right person will be supported, encouraged, and guided to grow — and help others grow too.

Ready to Step Into a Role That Truly Values You?
If you’re ready to bring your experience, maturity, and supportive leadership to a practice that genuinely appreciates its team, we’d love to hear from you.
