Full time | Mon–Fri + 1 Saturday per month (rotational) | $35–$42/hr + performance incentives
This isn't your average DA role
This is a well-established practice with deep roots in its community — built on relationships, exceptional preventative care, and a commitment to doing things properly. The patient base is loyal, engaged and appreciative. The clinical environment is high-standard. And right now, there's an opportunity for the right person to step into something more.
This practice is growing and evolving, and they're looking for a Lead DA who brings more than clinical skill. Someone with the emotional intelligence to read a room, the confidence to lead from the front, and the desire to help a capable team do its best work together.
The role
Working chairside across the dentist and hygiene/OHT team, the Lead DA will keep communication clear, the day running smoothly, and every patient well looked after.
The clinical team is experienced and knows what good looks like. The support team is earlier in their careers — eager, willing and ready to learn from someone who knows their craft and leads with generosity. This is a role for someone who finds that combination energising.
- Work chairside across the dentist and hygiene/OHT clinicians
- Coordinate clinical team flow and day-to-day communication
- Mentor and support the broader DA team
- Make sure every patient feels looked after at every step
- Solve problems before they become issues
- Bring calm, consistency and confidence to the clinical environment
- Play an active role in bringing the team together as the practice grows and stabilises
- $35–$42 per hour —well above award, reflecting the seniority of the role
- Performance bonuses and incentives
- A career development pathway that grows with the person in it
- Training and coaching onsite and off
- Regular team meetings, morning huddles and social events
- A patient base that wants to be there — no aggressive, difficult or disengaged patients
- A practice that has invested in its people for over three decades
Who they're looking for
Someone qualified and experienced who knows their craft — and knows they're ready for more. This person leads by example, not by title. They notice what needs to be done before being asked, take pride in their work, and find satisfaction in seeing others succeed.
This role suits a DA who is:
- Emotionally intelligent — reads people, rooms and situations with ease
- A natural problem-solver who stays calm when things move fast
- Warm, confident and invested in patient outcomes
- Someone who takes ownership of their work, their contribution and their growth
- Reliable, well-presented and proud of the standards they hold themselves to
- Energised by mentoring others and being part of building something
- A person who brings life experience, warmth and personality into the room
About the practice
This practice has been part of its community for over three decades. It runs a high-end preventative dental hygiene program, maintains strong specialist connections, and takes CPD and team development seriously. The right Lead DA won't just fill a position — they'll help shape what this practice becomes next.
