A role for someone who loves their career in dental, people, structure, and being the calm centre of a busy day.
An independently owned dental practice is seeking a full‑time Dental Receptionist who thrives on connection, organisation, and being the person everyone relies on. This is the perfect role for someone who loves structure, enjoys supporting both the front office and clinical teams, and takes pride in creating a smooth, welcoming patient experience.
Start Date: 18 May 2026
Hours: Full Time, 38 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
Remuneration: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Uniform: Provided
Dental Experience: Required
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn’t a standard reception job — it’s a coordinator role at the heart of a small, supportive, and growing practice with two Dentists and an OHT.
The successful candidate becomes the person who :
- understands the rhythm of the day,
- supports clinicians before they even ask,
- guides patients through their treatment journey, and
- keeps the practice running with confidence and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating a warm, confident first impression for every patient
- Managing calls, bookings, and daily schedules
- Using Dental4Windows with ease
- Processing payments and discussing payment plan options
- Managing recalls, reminders, and follow‑up systems
- Coordinating treatment plans and supporting patients through their care
- Liaising with the team to keep the day flowing smoothly
- Ordering supplies and managing stock
- Handling banking and daily reconciliation
- Supporting clinicians with communication and workflow
- Assisting chairside only when required (illness, leave, busy periods)
- Supporting training for new Dental Assistants
- Acting as a central coordinator for front office, clinical needs, and patient experience
The ideal candidate is:
- Enthusiastic, warm, and naturally likeable
- Able to connect easily with patients
- Organised, structured, and self‑motivated
- A team player who enjoys supporting others and being supported
- Resilient and steady under pressure
- Someone who takes pride in their work and presentation
- Curious about how the whole practice functions and eager to contribute
As the practice continues to evolve, so will this role. There is room to develop into broader coordination or practice management responsibilities. This suits someone who enjoys learning, taking initiative, and being part of a team that values contribution and ownership.
Who This Role Is Ideal For

- Someone who truly enjoys their dental career
- Someone who enjoys being involved in the full patient journey
