Dental Assistant/ Receptionist

Tea Tree Dental is looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our warm and welcoming team. While we ideally seek a qualified dental assistant or someone with previous dental reception experience, we also encourage applicants with a genuine interest in dental care and strong interpersonal skills to apply.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Compassionate and friendly
Reliable, consistent, and well-presented
A great communicator – in person and over the phone
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Previous dental experience is desirable but not essential. If you're keen to grow and contribute in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Details

2–3 full days per week (8:30am – 6:00pm)
Flexibility in days available, arranged in advance on a monthly roster
Reception-based role: approx. 70% reception, 30% clinical assisting

Key Responsibilities

Perform reception and customer service duties
Assist the dentist during procedures
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Ensure a clean and organised clinical environment
Process patient x-rays
Manage time effectively and multitask in a busy practice

Skills & Attributes

Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to follow clinical direction from the dentist
Active listening and empathy when engaging with patients
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
A strong work ethic – dependable, punctual, and consistent
